Tip of the Month

The cold and flu season is upon us.
Follow these simple tips to avoid contracting those viruses: Wash children’s toys often. Don’t share drinking glasses or water bottles.

Cough or sneeze into a tissue.
If a tissue is unavailable, cough or sneeze into your shoulder, not your hand. Clean commonly used areas such as telephones, stair rails, counter tops and door knobs often to avoid spreading viruses.

The most important thing you can do to avoid colds and flu’s is to wash your hands often and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

The American Heart Association has developed new guidelines for treatment of sudden cardiac arrest. These new guidelines for CPR are required to be implemented by March 1, 2011. Using interim training materials, we began training to the new standards November 15th. New materials will not be available until sometime in the first quarter of 2011. Please contact us with any questions or concerns regarding the new guidelines.
